What is First Focal Plane (FFP) and Second Focal Plane (SFP)?
FFP scopes: the reticle scales with the zoom level, so all holdover marks and measurements remain accurate at every power setting, making it ideal for long‑range or precision shooting.
SFP scopes: the reticle stays the same size regardless of magnification, which keeps it bold and easy to see but means the holdover marks are only accurate at one specific zoom level, usually maximum power. Making SFP better suited to hunting and general‑purpose shooting.
